Using Stow

Terms of use

Effective 26 October 2026

The app

Stow helps you scan QR codes and barcodes and organise saved content on your device. An account and paid access are required for current releases. Connecting Google also enables backup and passcode recovery; automatic backup can be turned off in Settings. Stow is currently a testing release; features and availability can change.

Access plans

Monthly access costs €1.99 and renews each month until cancelled. Cancel renewal from your account page or PayPal automatic payments. Cancellation keeps access through the paid period. Permanent app access costs €24.99 once. Existing permanent purchases, including early test purchases, keep their permanent access. A permanent purchase stops an existing monthly renewal; if cancellation cannot be confirmed, the account page will tell you to check PayPal automatic payments.

Subscriptions include a seven-day offline grace period after the paid period ends. After that, saved content remains available to view and export, while creating and editing pauses. Occasional internet access is needed to confirm renewal. Basic clock-change checks protect offline subscription passes. Permanent app access remains available offline after activation and does not promise unlimited hosted storage or that every future separately sold service is included.

Your content

Only store content you are entitled to use. You retain your rights to your content. When you request a backup, you allow Stow and its hosting provider to process and store that content to provide the backup and restore service, as described in the privacy policy. Do not use Stow to break the law, access another person's account or interfere with the service.

Codes and links

A saved code may not replace an original card, ticket or credential. Acceptance depends on its issuer and the scanning equipment. Stow is not a bank or a payment wallet and does not enable NFC bank-card payments. Opening external links is your choice; check the destination before continuing.

Backups and security

A cloud backup is a snapshot, not continuous two-way synchronisation. You may enable automatic backup while the app is open; backups can pause when access expires, connectivity is lost or storage limits are reached. When an existing backup differs from the last known remote copy, Stow combines it with local account items before uploading. Different versions may remain as separate items. Device-only imports require confirmation and device verification. Keep another copy of information you cannot afford to lose. Cloud backups are not end-to-end encrypted. Protect access to your device and your Google account.

Support and privacy

For help or to request cloud-data or cloud-account deletion, contact the support address shown on Stow’s Google sign-in screen. Our privacy policy describes what is stored and how you can exercise applicable privacy rights. These terms do not remove any rights you have under applicable consumer or data-protection law.
